Data analysis - Covid-19 lockdown impact on water consumption in NYC

Average Daily water consumption per capita (HCF) for the month of April over the course of eight years (from 2013 to 2020).
• This figure indicates a clear upward trend in Bronx and Staten Island with time passed.
• The trend appears relatively stable in Brooklyn and Manhattan in figure 1 and 2.

Percentage difference of Staten Island's monthly water consumption per capita in (HCF) for the month of April over the course of four years (from 2016 to 2020).
• As we can, there is huge increase in Staten Island in April 2020. And it was 244.4% increment comparing to water consumption in previous years.

Research Conclusion
• Our Preliminary analysis indicates that COVID-19 lockdown had impact on water consumption.
• Due to the “PAUSE Stay at Home Order” starting in late March 2020, this month does not indicate a significant change.
•April 2020 shows a significant jump in water consumption in Staten Island and Bronx.
